A "Day Bed" is known as "Luohan Chuang", "Couch Bed", and "Opium Bed".

Design traits: superb quality, massive from without heaviness, rectangular rattan framed above a recessed waiste, wide curved apron, solid. 5" thick chow legs, key motif railings and back support. Back floating panel is solid burlwood.

Traditionally, the day bed would have graced the women's quarters of a Chinese palace.
